Hydrant flushing | Autumn 2024

Oct 10, 2024

Hydrant flushing | Autumn 2024

Flushing schedule
Ward of Saint-Hilaire | Tuesday, October 15 to Friday, October 18
Ward of Baker-Brook | Tuesday, October 15 to Friday, October 18
Ward of Clair | Tuesday, October 22 to Friday, October 25, and Monday, October 28
Ward of Saint-Francois | Saturday, October 19 and Monday, October 21

Between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., we will proceed with the annual flushing of the drinking water distribution system to ensure its proper operation. Although the water remains safe to drink at all times (except for the Ward of Saint-Hilaire), a slight drop in pressure and a reddish color due to deposits in the pipes may be noticed.

It is recommended to let the cold water run for a few minutes to clear it up before using it. The process will only take a few minutes. Also, please check the color of the water before washing clothes.

We apologize for this inconvenience but this process is necessary for the proper functioning of the drinking water distribution system.
