Recyclable materials and garbage collection

Recyclable materials and garbage collections are for residential properties only. Business owners are responsible for the collection of their waste specifically for their business and have to make arrangments with a contractor.
Only one bin per household is picked up. However, those for whom the collection of a single bin is an issue, can pay a $240 fee. Contact us by calling at 506-258-3030 or by sending an email to info@haut-madawaska.com to make arrangments.
Starting May 1st, 2024, Town of Haut-Madawaska's recycling program will be managed by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization that is committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in New Brunswick. As part of this transition, residents can expect to have a convenient, consistent, and effective recycling system that will improve recycling rates - benefiting people and our planet. The recycling guide is available here: Recycling guide.
Mattress recycling program: The Northwest Regional Service Commission (CSRNO) is launching a used mattress recycling program. This addition to the services offered by the CSRNO will allow citizens to dispose of their old mattresses in a more environmentally friendly way than in the past. Mattresses won't find their way in landfills anymore. The materials will be separated to be reused for other purposes. Citizens can continue to dispose of their mattresses during special collections.
