As you may already know, major work will be carried out on the potable water reservoir in the Ward of Baker-Brook during the summer of 2025. This work will last approximately 16 weeks, from May 15 to September 5, 2025. During this period, the operators of the Ward of Baker Brook drinking water network will have to operate the water pumps in pressure mode, which may cause sudden drops or surges in water pressure. In the event of a water main break or a significant fluctuation in water consumption, some residences may even experience a complete interruption of water service. Should such an issue occur, please call the emergency number (506) 258-3596 to report the problem. Please be assured that everything is being done to minimize the likelihood of such situations.
This rehabilitation work is necessary to keep the reservoir in optimal condition and to ensure the continued supply of high-quality drinking water for years to come.
The Town of Haut-Madawaska will provide each affected residence with a 20-litre container of potable water per week to ensure residents have access to drinking water at all times.
