March Activities | Mgr Plourde Public Library

This year the library is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Throughout the year, activities will be organized to remember the good times. The public is invited to share their memories of activities at the library. Follow the library on Facebook to keep up to date on events. 

March Break

:: Tuesday, March 7th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. : Come and play games!

:: Wednesday, March 8th at 1:30 p.m. : Macramé workshop with Mrs. Andrée Gagnon. For ages 8 and up.

:: Thursday, March 9th at 1:30 p.m. : Come and make your Nacho snack while watching SpongeBob the Movie: Sponge on the Run.


Various activities

:: From March 4th to 30th: In collaboration with the Kedgwick Public Library, Arleen Bailey and Diane Thompson present an exhibition of felted paintings that were created by various artists for the 100th anniversary of the municipality of Kedgwick in 2015. The paintings will be on display at the library from March 4 to March 30.

:: Saturday, March 11th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment: Need a hand filling out your tax return? A free service will be offered at the library. You may qualify if you have a modest income and a simple tax situation. The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) offers free service at the tax preparation desks. **It is important to reserve your seat at 506-992-6052**.

:: Thursday, March 16th from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Interactive activity under the theme: DÉ-COR-TI-QUÉE job offer. Everyone is welcome!

:: Wednesday, March 22nd at 10 a.m.: Animated by Parise Viel, Occupational Therapist. Relevant information for seniors and people wishing to maintain their autonomy and safety at home despite certain conditions that may arise medically, sometimes more so with time. The following topics will be covered: what is occupational therapy, checklists for maintaining safety at home, equipment ideas to assist you, some resources/programs in the area, as well as ergonomics/appropriate methods for handling loads. Welcome to all!

:: Saturday, March 25th at 10:15 a.m.: Kera Long will be on hand to advise you on how to coupon.

:: Thursdays, from March 23rd to April 13th at 10 a.m.: “Matins Bouts d’choux (0 à 3 ans)” : Meetings that will allow the child to develop his language. There will be rhymes, songs, a story and a craft.
