Winter operations | Winter 2023-2024

The arrival of winter is now imminent. A whole organization is set in motion when the first snowflakes fall on the ground. Here are some important things to remember.

  • It is not allowed to park a car on the sidewalk or alongside the road during the winter season.
  • No pickets sould be installed on the street limits. They must be installed on your property's limits.
  • It is not allowed to blow or push snow on sidewalks and streets.
  • Only the municipal streets are under the Town of Haut-Madawaska's responsibility. The following regional and provincial roads are the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure's responsibility:
    • Routes: 120, 161, 205, and 215.
    • Roads: Beaulieu, Belmont, Collin, du Lac, du Ruisseau, Grand Reed, Joseph-Morneault, Laplante, Levasseur, Pelletier, Picard, and Riceville.
    • Streets: Cyr, des Ormes, Dugal, and Richard.
  • Snow removal priorities are as follows:
    • Firestations
    • Municipal streets and sidewalks
    • Municipal offices
    • Community health service center

Take note that snow removal priorities may vary depending on the day and time the snow falls.

We thank you for the respect shown towards our employees throughout the year.
