Schedule for special garbage collections

Special garbage collections will soon take place in the Community of Haut-Madawaska. We ask every resident to take advantage of this service to clean up.

Saint-Hilaire District (former Town of Saint-Hilaire only): Tuesday, June 2nd 2020.

Baker-Brook District (former Town of Baker-Brook only): No date specified since special garbage is being picked up on a regular basis.

Clair District (former Town of Clair only):

First collection phase will take place on Monday, May 25th 2020 for the following streets:

• des Érables Avenue
• des Chevaliers Street
• Martin Street
• 2nd, 4th and 6th Avenue
• Long Boulevard
• Russel Street

Second collection phase will take place on Monday, June 8th 2020 for the following streets:

• Principale
• des Pins
• Daigle
• Peupliers
• Laporte
• Hôtel de Ville
• Villa Bellevue

Saint-François District (former Town of Saint-François only): Monday, June 22nd 2020.

There will be NO SPECIAL GARBAGE COLLECTIONS in the LSD of the Community, since the company decided to cancel it due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The special collection includes everything that is not usually permitted in the regular collection. For example:
- Household appliances
- Furniture, mattress
- Small branches and leaves (well tied or in a closed box)

Materials must be placed alongside the road before 7:00 a.m. in cardboard boxes and if you only have garbage bags, the weight must not exceed 50 pounds.

Construction waste or materials will not be picked up.
